There seems to be some confusion on how to install the Netflix add-on to current versions of Windows Media Center. Previously a file named NetflixInWindowsMediaCenter.exe was sufficient but this no longer works and you’ll get a “Unable to install Netflix” error.
Here’s how to install Netflix:
- Go to Settings->General->Automatic Download Options
- Click on “Download Now”
- After it is finished, you’ll find Netflix under the “Movies” section.
Now after you install you might run into a “There was a problem signing in. Verify your Internet connection is working and try again” error.
The solution is simple: Delete the mspr.hds file under c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady
Hope this helps!
